The Kitchen Atlas is an editorial site. We are in the business of writing honestly about kitchens, not collecting data — so this page is short, and it is written to be read.
What we collect
If you just read the site: nothing that identifies you. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure load times. It sets no cookies, keeps no record that could single you out, and doesn't track you across other sites — which is why this site shows no cookie banner. We run no advertising tags and no cross-site trackers, and our fonts are served from our own domain, so a page here loads without calling out to Google or anyone else.
If you join the curator waitlist: your email address. That's the only field. We store it, along with the time you signed up, so we can tell you when the Curator opens. No newsletter unless you ask for one, and we never sell, rent, or share the list.
Where it lives
The site and the waitlist run on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which acts as our hosting provider and processes standard connection data (like IP addresses) to serve and protect the site, as every host does. We don't receive or keep that connection data ourselves.

Want off the waitlist, or want to know what we hold about you (it will be one email address)? Write to hello@thekitchenatlas.nyc and it's done — no forms, no verification maze.
How this site makes money
The same disclosure that sits in our footer, stated plainly: we take no advertising from manufacturers or dealers. When a reader asks us to connect them with a showroom, that showroom pays us a commission only if the project completes — never for coverage, placement, or a kinder verdict. Editorial judgments are not for sale, which is the entire value of this site.
Changes
If our practices change, this page changes first, with a new effective date. It's the honest record of what we actually do.
